Lonely in Myself

I am never alone
But I am lonely in myself
Always fighting for survival
but barely getting by
Always being manly*
when silently I cry
Strong on the outside
Shattered within
Always victorious
But never really win
Waiting for something
to take me away
Waiting for someone
To come out and say
"I care"

*This poem was written as a glimpse into a male character's mind, hence the "manly" line.
